Qualification For Artisan Grade-IV
Class Xth PLUS National Trade Certificate (NTC / ITl) PLUS
National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade
WITH NOT LESS THAN 60% marks for Gen & OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC & ST candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC
Desirable: Knowledge of Regional Language for Tamil Nadu, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka based Units and Hindi for other Units
Upper Age Relaxation
The upper age limit for General and EWS category candidates shall be 27 years as on 01.10.2026.
Age Relaxation on account of Experience: Candidates shall be eligible for age relaxation of up to a maximum limit 07 years on the basis of work experience, subject to a minimum of 06 months of relevant work experience and submission of experience in the prescribed format (available on BHEL Careers Website).
Upper age limit is further relaxable for candidates belonging to the following categories as under: –
• SC/ST: – by 5 years
• OBC (NCL): – by 3 years
• Persons with Disabilities Candidates: – by 10 years for General – by 13 years for OBC (NCL) –by 15 years for SC/ST.
• Relaxation in age for Ex-Servicemen will be as per extant Govt. rules.
• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1/1/1980 to 31/12/1989.
Emoluments and Benefits
Selected candidates will work as “Temporary Artisans” for a period of one year during which they will be paid consolidated wages of Rs 24,000 per Month. On successful completion of this temporary period, they will be regularized in the regular establishment as ARTISAN GRADE-IV and placed at the minimum of the scale of pay of Rs 29500 – Rs 65,000 with applicable allowances in vogue at the time of regularization. There regularization in the regular establishment will be as per the extant Company rules.
