Educational Qualification
10th class pass from a recognized board.
Three-year Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central or State Government.
Possession of a valid driving license for geared motorcycles and light motor vehicles.

Paper I: General Studies (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Geography, History, Economics, Political Science at Matric level, Indian Constitution, Five-Year Plans, Freedom Movement, current affairs)
Paper II: Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (Candidates choose one, syllabus as per Bihar State Board of Technical Education for respective diploma)
Paper III: Motor Vehicle Rules and Acts (Bihar Motor Vehicle Rules 1992, Motor Vehicle Act 1988, Central Vehicle Rules 1989)
