Educational Qualification 

Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout. Candidate should have good CPI/CGPA/Percentage in Ph.D course work where ever applicable.

Age Limit

The age limit for UR candidates for Assistant Professor Position is preferably below 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable for OBC, SC/ST & PwD candidates as per norms.

Experience

Assistant Professor :Grade II (Contract)Candidates with less than three years of post-Ph.D industrial/research/ teaching experience may be considered for this post.

Assistant Professor : Grade I (Regular)Candidates with at-least three years of post-Ph.D industrial/ research/teaching experience may be considered for the post.

Associate Professor  : A minimum 6 years of teaching / research/industrial experience of which minimum 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (pay level 12) in IITs / IISc Bangalore /IIMs /IISERs or in the Institutes of national importance or Indian/Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards/Senior Scientist in the reputed National/International research organizations/ Industries at the time of application. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of Ph.D. students, publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents,laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities

Professor : A minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which minimum 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs / IISc Bangalore / IIMs /IISERs or in the Institutes of national importance or Indian / Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards / Senior Scientist in reputed National / International Research Organizations / Industries at the time of application. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of  Ph.D.students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory /course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.

Pay Structure as per 7th CPC

• Assistant Professor Grade II : 7th CPC Pay level 10, Minimum Basic Pay 70,900/-
• Assistant Professor Grade I  : 7th CPC Pay Level 12,Minimum Basic Pay 1,01,500/-
• Associate Professor                : 7th CPC Pay Level  13A2, Minimum Basic Pay 1,39,600
• Professor                                  : 7th CPC Pay Level 14A,Minimum Basic Pay 1,59,100/-
